WISCONSIN STATE FAIR
The Wisconsin State Fair is happening August 5-15, 2021, and we’ve got a full Family Guide for you. You’ll find out what’s new this year, 10 must-visit stops for kids and families, and – of course – what to eat.
FREE OUTDOOR MOVIES
Bayshore is welcoming kids of all ages (and adults too!) to enjoy the FREE Family Flicks movie series playing from the Bayshore Marquee facing The Yard. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and join on Wednesday evenings for fun family entertainment. Movies start at 5pm!
Konkel Park in Greenfield is also hosting free outdoor movies for families.
SUNFLOWER FIELDS
It’s the height of sunflower season! We rounded up a list of 8 Sunflower Fields Around Southeastern Wisconsin so you can clip some for yourself, and get some great family photos.
IRISH FEST
After going virtual in 2020, the in-person festival is back this year to enliven Henry W. Maier Festival Park with the sights, sounds, and tastes of Ireland from August 20-22, 2021. ROOT BEER BASH
The Root Beer Bash is coming to Maslowski Park in Glendale on Saturday, August 28th!
Enjoy Root Beer-Flavored foods, a car show, petting zoo, family shows, and live music. This is a free festival brewed for families. A Covid Preparedness Plan is in place for this “no contact” event.
STATE PARKS WITHIN ONE HOUR
The observation towers in Wisconsin State Parks are now officially open! Lakeshore State Park, pictured above, is right in the downtown area! We rounded up 13 State Park Within One Hour of Milwaukee to make it easy for you for to find your favorite.
