Flag Collection at Forest Home Cemetery
Before Memorial Day, SBK helped honor our heroes by placing flags at the graves of military veterans who have served from the War of 1812 to the present. This time we’ll meet again to help collect the flags. We will meet at Forest Home Cemetery on Friday, July 5th from 10:00 am -12:00 pm to assist with locating veterans’ graves and removing the flags that were placed at each gravesite.
We will meet at the Halls of History which is across from the chapel (entrance of Lincoln Ave). From there we will walk through the grounds picking up the flags and bringing them back to the Halls of History where there will be a sign telling us where to put the flags. Work for as long as you would like!
Open to all ages and we are able to include as many families as want to participate. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
This project is open to everyone- both guests who want to try out a SBK project and members. Please only sign up if you know you can attend. We understand illness and emergencies do come up but they are counting on our hands, so if you register and can no longer attend, please let us know ASAP so we can work to fill your spot.
