1. Whitnall Park
5879 S. 92nd St., Franklin, WI 53132
Located near the Boerner Botanical Gardens, this 400-foot sledding hill is free to the public and is lit up at night (4:30-8:30 p.m.).
There is also a smaller hill for the little ones north of the main hill.
There is ample parking in the large lot off of 92nd street, and you can enjoy warm concessions in the Whitnall Clubhouse.
2. Back Bay Park
Located at the intersection of E. Lafayette Pl. and E. Lafayette Hill Rd.
For those living in the city craving a quick sledding adventure, Back Bay Park offers a convenient solution.
Right opposite Lakefront Colectivo Coffee, this hill has become a popular yet unofficial meetup spot for locals.
It has a steeper incline, so it may be best for kids who are already comfortable with sledding.
3. Lowell Park Toboggan Run

Located near Lowell Elementary School, the park offers great sledding and a 350-foot lighted toboggan run (for a small fee). The toboggan run is open on Saturdays only. You can also ride for FREE during the Waukesha Janboree.
Sleds are also available to rent. Preregistration is required, and you must sign a waiver, which are available at the shelter. All riders must by 48 inches or taller. Children under 11 must ride with an adult. Click here to register online.
4. Currie Park

This golf course converts into a long, shallow sledding hill in the winter. The moderate speed is good for all ages.
Warm up and grab a snack in the Currie Park Golf Dome nearby. Illuminated at night from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
5. Urban Ecology Center
The Urban Ecology Center offers sled borrowing (for members only), along with warm drinks for all to cozy up afterwards.
Riverside Park: Variety of slopes right behind our Center. Gentle hill for the little ones.
Washington Park: Prime sledding hill across the lagoon from the Center.
