Here’s How You Can Ride the Giant Slide for Free

Fair-goers can ride the Giant Slide free on August 6th, courtesy of UWM.

UW-Milwaukee announced Monday that they will giving away free rides down the Giant Slide at the Wisconsin State Fair on Saturday, Aug. 6, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Tickets normally cost $3, but all visitors need to do to get a free-ride voucher to the iconic State Fair attraction is the following:

  • Wear UWM gear or clothing with UWM’s school colors of black and gold.
  • Be one of the first 1,000 people to visit the UWM tent across from the Giant Slide on Saturday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The Giant Slide is 200 feet long.

This attraction is for kids of all ages (and adults, too). Burlap sacks are provided for the trip down the 200 foot slide.

UWM will have other giveaways and information on upcoming family-friendly events at the university.

Staff will be on hand to answer questions from prospective students.
