Families can once again enjoy a fancy day out together, inspired by 19th century traditional English teatime. The Pfister Hotel’s afternoon tea service returned last Friday, October 20, and will run through April 1, 2018. Teatime is offered every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with seatings at 12:30, 1:00, 1:30, and 2:00.

Teatime takes place in luxurious Blu on the 23rd floor of the hotel, with sprawling, panoramic views of Milwaukee and Lake Michigan.

Guests can learn about each variety of tea, including its origins, unique flavors, and even its effects on mood and health. You’ll enjoy a table side tea blending and all silver service by a Pfister Tea Butler, who makes sure each cup of tea is brewed to perfection. They’ll even use a replica of an 18th century self-tipping teapot.

Tea is paired with a special menu complete with fresh scones, sandwiches and pastries. Menus vary from Victorian traditional, sweets, vegetarian and gluten free

The Pfister offers a selection of Rishi Teas in 12 varieties, including its signature blend, Pfister 1893, exclusively crafted in 2013 in conjunction with Milwaukee-based Rishi Tea. Pfister 1893 features a blend of jasmine and wild-rose scented white teas infused with rejuvenating peppermint and calming lavender.

The whole experience is accompanied by delightful music by a pianist, and a cozy fireplace.

For ladies and gentlemen twelve years and younger, an “All Grown Up” menu is available featuring warm sipping chocolate, lemonade, cider, Vermont ham & cheddar finger sandwiches, herbed chicken salad tartlets, traditional scones and chocolate ganache tartlets.
