Children’s bookstores are few and far between in the Milwaukee area, but Shorewood is about to welcome one that promises to captivate the hearts of young readers and their families.
Wonderland Bookshop, a new children’s bookstore, is set to open its doors October 26th & 27th at 4001 N Downer Ave. This family-owned shop is designed to be a vibrant community hub for young readers, storytellers, and dreamers.
The shop will offer a carefully curated selection of books, toys, and gifts perfect for the little bookworms in your life, from enchanting picture books and captivating series for middle readers to engaging young adult novels.
The store’s whimsical design will draw inspiration from Shorewood’s rich history, particularly the early 20th-century Wonderland Amusement Park, which once brought joy and excitement to the area.
Wonderland Bookshop will also feature a cozy event space ideal for hosting themed tea parties, birthday celebrations, other literary-inspired gatherings, and even photography sessions.
