The first annual Tulip Festival in Spring Grove runs now through May 9th.
The tulips are in full bloom at Richardson Adventure Farm in Spring Grove, Illinois, just over an hour drive from Milwaukee.
Visitors can walk through their private lakefront location with five acres of tulips, featuring 300,000 bulbs, 30 varieties, and 70,000 mixed colors in a pick-your-own area.
There is a walking trail along the 36 acre lake, free yard games to play like giant checkers, jenga, and corn hole, live music on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and free parking.
They will also have food trucks, beer and wines and free use of picnic tables near the lakefront. They are offering fresh donuts, popcorn, kettle corn, and indoor restrooms near the gift shop on the adjacent Adventure Farm grounds (about a 1/2 mile walk to the tulip fields).

The tulips are only expected to be in bloom until May 9th.
Tulip tickets are $15 per person on Saturday and Sunday and $12 per person during the week. Tickets can be purchased online or in person.
Wheelchair & Stroller accessibility: The tulips have been planted in a hay field, so the ground is a farm field with some lumps and bumps. The walkways are mostly a grass/weed mixture, but still with lumps and bumps. If it has recently rained, the ground turns a little mushy. The parking area is rough grass. From the tulip fields, the ground slopes down to the festival area with the food trucks, picnic tables, weekend music, etc. The slopes are within ADA guidelines. Because the ground is rough, some people may need assistance getting their wheelchair back up the hill.
Dogs: Visitors are welcome to bring their dog if it is on a leash and plays well with others.
