Rosebud Cinema: Reopening Feb 14th with Marvel Movie Premiere

Wauwatosa, WI – After a long hiatus that began on March 17, 2020, due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the Rosebud Cinema, a cherished neighborhood gem located at 6823 W. North Ave., is poised to reopen its doors.

Mark your calendars for a special family outing this Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024, as the cinema resumes operations with the premiere of “Madame Web,” a much-anticipated Marvel superhero movie, set to screen at 6:30 p.m.

Families looking for a unique Valentine’s Day activity can now purchase tickets through the theater’s website.

The Rosebud Cinema was originally built in 1931 and known as the Tosa Theatre. It holds a special place in the hearts of Wauwatosa residents and film enthusiasts across the Milwaukee area. Its reopening marks the return of the last Milwaukee-area theater to reopen post-pandemic.

The reopening of Rosebud Cinema comes on the heels of changes at its sister theater, the Times Cinema, which recently shifted its focus to events and special screenings.
