March marks the beginning of the end of winter in Milwaukee, and we’re here for it. It’s the start of maple sugaring season, St. Patrick’s Day, AND the museums are re-opening.
GO BIG FOR ST. PATRICK’S DAY
The Milwaukee St. Patricks Day Parade has been postponed until September 25, 2021 (It will be the “Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Parade”). But, you can still celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Celtic MKE’s At-Home Celebration. They’re providing a full day’s worth of programming, ranging from family entertainment to cultural shows and performances from emerging artists in Ireland. Click here to find out more.
TAP A MAPLE TREE
March is Maple Sugaring season in Southeastern Wisconsin, and you can tap the trees with your kids throughout the entire month. Local nature centers are offering in-person workshops, festivals, and at-home tapping kits. Click here for all the details.
“MKE IT BACK” TO THE MUSEUM
Milwaukee museums are re-opening this month with COVID-19 protocols in place:
- The Milwaukee Public Museum re-opens March 4th
- The Milwaukee Art Museum re-opens March 5th
- The Harley Davidson Museum re-opens March 8th
- Discovery World re-opens March 27th
- Family Days at the Milwaukee County Historical Society is March 3-6, 2021.
- It’s your last chance to see the Train Show at the Domes. It ends March 21, 2021.
- The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum remains closed.

SAFE INDOOR PLAY
