To the south of Milwaukee, nestled on a picturesque pond along Highway 100 in the city of Franklin, you’ll find Awe’s Apple Orchard. This charming orchard offers a perfect fall escape for families and apple lovers alike.
As you make your way to the orchard, even the gravel path is lined with beautiful apple trees that set the scene. You’ll drive past a quaint pond, enormous old trees, and festive scarecrows that add to the autumn atmosphere.
Adjacent to the parking lot, you’ll see the store and a white tent where you can purchase bags for apple picking.
Awe’s Apple Orchard might not be the largest, but its smaller size adds to its cozy, inviting feel.
During our visit, we picked delicious varieties such as McIntosh, Golden Delicious, and Honeycrisp apples. There’s even a sizable pumpkin patch that will get you in the Halloween spirit.
And of course, no visit to Awe’s is complete without trying their famous homemade cider donuts. Fried to crispy perfection on the outside and soft on the inside, they’re the ideal treat after a fun day of apple picking.
If you’re looking for a quaint, family-friendly orchard with plenty of fall charm, Awe’s Apple Orchard is worth the trip.
