If you’re looking for a unique and unforgettable family adventure, Aquavia Lumina at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells is an absolute must-see. My family visited on our last trip to the Dells, and we were completely mesmerized by the lights, lasers, and immersive storytelling.
This one-of-a-kind nighttime experience, created by the world-renowned multimedia studio Moment Factory, blends the natural beauty of the Dells with stunning visual effects, soundscapes, and projections. It’s an entirely new way to explore the Wilderness Resort after dark—and one that left us in awe.
What is Aquavia Lumina?

Aquavia Lumina is part of a global series of Enchanted Night Walks, designed to transport visitors into a dreamlike world where nature is enhanced by thousands of glowing lights, video projections, and original music. It is the 21st Lumina Night Walk in Moment Factory’s internationally acclaimed collection and takes guests through Wilderness Canyon, located between the main resort and Glacier Canyon Lodge.
It’s a completely immersive experience that highlights the sandstone cliffs and natural beauty of the Dells, offering families a magical way to explore the region.
Our Family’s Experience at Aquavia Lumina
From the moment we stepped onto the glowing path, my kids (ages 9, 11, and 13) were completely captivated. We followed the glowing deer through the canyon, encountering breathtaking laser displays, soundscapes, and illuminated trees along the way.
One of my absolute favorite moments was when we discovered the huge glowing moon. We spent so much time just standing beneath it, hugging, spinning, and dancing together. It was such a special bonding experience—one of those moments that reminds you how magical family time can be.
The combination of lights, music, and nature made the whole experience feel otherworldly.
What to Expect on the Night Walk
Aquavia Lumina invites visitors into a mythical journey, where you’ll follow the path of a glowing deer in search of “The Source,” a legendary spring believed to have transformative powers.
Along the way, you’ll experience:
✨ Thousands of softly glowing lights
🎶 Soundscapes and music that enhance the atmosphere
🌲 Multimedia storytelling that brings the landscape to life
🌙 Massive glowing installations, like the magical moon we danced under!
The walk itself is not strenuous, but you are on your feet for a while, and the path is not well-suited for strollers or wheelchairs due to the natural terrain. If you’re visiting with younger kids who might get tired, plan accordingly.
Plan Your Visit
Aquavia Lumina is open every night of the year at nightfall, so no matter when you visit Wisconsin Dells, you can experience the magic.
