Mother/Daughter Tea – An Elegant Afternoon Tea at Blu at The Pfister
Blu hosts an elegant Afternoon Tea for mothers and daughters Mother’s Day weekend with multiple seatings available Friday, May 11 to Sunday, May 13. Located on the 23rd floor of The Pfister, Blu offers an enchanting location for moms and daughters to celebrate the holiday while taking in one of the best views in the city. Reservations can be made for the Mother/Daughter Tea Experience at Blu for 12:30 p.m., 1:00 p.m., 1:30 p.m. or 2:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, May 11 – May 13.

The Gardens are officially open for the season! Mother’s Day is the perfect time to take a stroll through the gardens with the whole family. The Friends of Boerner Botanical Gardens will be offering FREE kids activities including make-and-take gifts for mothers and grandmothers! Garden admission not included as part of the FBBG event. Children’s Program Notes at 2:45 p.m. in the east lobby. With four concerts each season, the Symphony Sundays—Classical Music for All Ages concert series makes classical music accessible to everyone, including single adults, couples, seniors, music students, families, and children. Symphony Sundays are informal events that welcome newcomers and established symphony enthusiasts alike. The historic Pabst Theater offers relaxed, yet elegant surroundings for these afternoons at the symphony. On Mother’s Day, the Symphony Sundays’ season will conclude with “Legends and Masters,” a captivating concert of celestial music brings folktales to life. The program will feature Carl Maria von Weber’s “Overture to Der Freischutz,” Johannes Brahms’s “Intermezzo in A Major, op. 119, no. 2” (Black Swan), Engelbert Humperdinck’s “Prelude to Hansel and Gretel,” and Jean Sibelius’s “Symphony no. 7, op. 105, in C Major.”
