The Banned Wagon
Tuesday, September 24, 10 am-2 pm

Central Library – 814 W Wisconsin Ave Milwaukee WI

  • Event Highlights: Free banned books (while supplies last), educational resources, and opportunities to learn more about the impact of book censorship.

Save the date! Starting on Banned Books Week, The Banned Wagon – powered by Penguin Random House, Unite Against Book Bans (UABB), First Book and Little Free Library – is road tripping through the Midwest and the South to get books to the people who need and want them most. The Banned Wagon will be parked on 9th Street & Wisconsin Avenue. Visit from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. to get a free banned book (while supplies last), learn more about the issue, and join the movement. Enjoy workshops, an artist meet-and-greet, and food trucks, while connecting with community literacy advocates and standing up for your right to access all kinds of books.

Please note: Dates and times are subject to change, and occasionally events may be cancelled. Please check the event website to confirm the latest details: (It’s Family Reading Time MKE!)
