The fairy tale opera of Hansel and Gretel will be presented by the Southwestern Suburban Symphony. The production is based on the beloved story by the Brothers Grimm and will pay tribute to the Christmas Day performance by the Metropolitan Opera in 1982. The opera comprises the glorious music by Engelbert Humperdink and mimics the beautiful sets and costumes by Robert O’Hearn.
