Giving Good is Boyd’s heartfelt ode to the love that a father shares with son that keeps them both warm inside and out. And of course it is full of Boyd’s beautiful artwork.

It hasn’t been the same since Daddy moved out. When father and son spend time together now, it takes a little while for them to relax in each other’s company. But shared experiences and warm memories keep their bond strong, even when they’re apart.
Boyd’s first outing as an author captures the deep understanding and love between a father and son. As they spend their visit working on a model plane, things quiet until the father recalls a moment from the previous summer that makes them both laugh. It’s just one of many ways Daddy always ‘giving good.’ Boyd’s new book is an important reminder that even when parents split up, their feelings for their children don’t change.
Aaron Boyd has illustrated dozens of books, and now he tells the whole story as author/illustrator. Boyd is an award-winning artist recognized by ILA and the Children’s Africana Book Award. His pop-up book Acuity’s Storybook Year was inducted into Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Aaron has a BFA in illustration from MIAD.
