The Seth Peterson Cottage is a stunning architectural gem located in Mirror Lake State Park, Wisconsin.
It was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1958 for a young schoolteacher named Seth Peterson who wanted a beautiful and affordable retreat for himself.
What makes this cottage unique is its design – it is a beautiful example of Wright’s organic architecture.
The cottage is built into a steep hillside and appears to grow out of the surrounding landscape. Its interior features beautiful redwood walls and ceilings, large windows that offer beautiful views of the forest, and a beautiful stone fireplace.
The cottage is also unique because of its history. After Peterson’s death, the cottage fell into disrepair and was almost demolished. However, a group of concerned citizens banded together to save it, and it was eventually restored to its former glory.
Today, the cottage is owned by the Seth Peterson Cottage Conservancy and is available for vacation rentals. It offers a unique and unforgettable experience for anyone looking for a beautiful and historic getaway.
