The Wilderness Resort in the Wisconsin Dells is now offering newly renovated rooms, updated areas like the Wild West Waterpark, a brand new show in the Take Flight Theater, and more.
MKE With Kids team member Jessie visited with her family last weekend to experience all they have to offer and take current photos of the amenities.
The renovated rooms received new paint, carpet, flooring, countertops, furniture, artwork, and televisions.
The guest rooms were spacious and separated into zones – making the stay especially comfortable for the whole family. The double suite included a sitting area, kitchenette with a sink, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker, and built in desks.
While the adults will especially appreciate the updated rooms, your kids will love the newly renovated Wild West Water Park which offers four brand new thrill slides.
Warped Wagons, a two-lane dueling tube ride, and Twisted Trails, a two-lane dueling mat racer, feature translucent slide effects and rally points where riders can see their competition as they go down the slides.
The popular Black Hole extreme tube ride and the Fantastic Voyage family raft ride also remain in the water park for guests to enjoy.
Parents approve of the zero-depth entry throughout most of the water park and a separate ‘toddler area’ away from the splash zone.
Families will appreciate the convenience of on-deck amenities like snacks, beverages, and hot food options, plus a swim-up bar, and a nearby restaurant.
The Swimm’n Chick’n Chicken Eatery & Sports Bar overlooks the Wild West Waterpark. It’s a casual restaurant and sports bar with chicken tenders, salads, sandwiches, and more.
For more food options throughout Wilderness Resort, don’t miss the Camp Social Food Hall, offering burgers, tacos, coffee, and more.
Be sure to visit the Candy Cabin, which features hand-dipped delights and gourmet treats like chocolate-covered bacon, white and dark chocolate almond bark, chocolate-covered gummy bears, truffles, covered pretzels, toffee, and more.
Watch the candy experts and chocolatiers make caramel, fudge, and other delights right in front of your eyes.
For an extra adventure, World Flight is now open at the Take Flight theater.
This adventure flight takes guests on a sensory journey around the world flying over London Eye and Tower Bridge, the Sydney Harbor in Australia, the Parthenon and Colosseum in Rome, Reykjavik in Iceland, the Matterhorn in the Alps and Big Sur on the California coastline.
You’ll feel wind, motions seats, and even smell the aromas throughout the experience.
For the holiday season, the Polar Express ride is back, based on the classic movie. Kids will love this extraordinary train ride, twisting and turning down the tracks to visit Santa at the North pole.
The whole family will also love the Fun Pass attractions, which include Lost Cabin Laser Tag, the Northern Lights Sky Ropes Course, Wild Abyss Black-Light Mini Golf, Wilderwoods Indoor Go-Karts, Clip ‘n Climb Challenge Wall, and multiple arcades.
